I would have thought you guys would definitely had electronic ignitions in the B210's, pretty much anything 77 and newer all had electronic ignitions. In the US get one from a 79-82 210/310/anything with an A series engine. One goes to the positive of the coil, the other goes to the negative. I also had to remove the resistor thing near the coil and connect those two wires together. It works pretty good, however it's time for me to get an MSD 6AL installed to give a hotter spark and a rev limiter to keep from messing things up. Good luck!

Ignition is one place you guys in the States win over us fellas down under. Electronic ignition wasn't fitted to our A series engines. I have a couple of the Hitachi set ups which I bought new years ago from our Nissan agent but they were a special order item. Occassionally you can get lucky and find one on the Jap import vans but they are usually pretty stuffed. I converted my A14 GX dizzy to twin point by drilling another set of holes 180' to the others and using a double spade fitting for the power lead. I could'nt see the point ( no pun intended) of spending heaps on a Mallory set up when I could do it myself!!

Just get one from a 120Y or 310. It fits right in except you may need to swap the hold-down brackets. It is a very simple hookup, with just two or three wires. Get the whole setup, including coil, distributor and wires and it is fairly easy to figure out.

This is likely the best modification that can be made to an A12 engine. No more difficult starts on wet days.

Hey mic give jeff a ring at JTS he sells them complete ready to go all you need to do is get a different type of coil and wire it in. they make a great improvement over points ignition. Cant remember how much they where I think close to $300 quite a few years ago with a new cap regraphed to suit the engine ect.
