Sorry mate, its the 'resistor' connected to the coil (white rectangular box). Is it okay to bypass this to test if it will blow the fuse when ignition is turned to on?

My 1200 ute was running fine then today it wouldn't start. I noticed the transistor connected to the coil was getting hot. checked the coil setup and fixed. Still burning meter reg fuse. what to do?
