If your cutting chassis make sure you reinforce that area.

you are right in thinking that mods are required.

a small piece will need to be cut out of the rear boxed section of the front leaf spring chassis mount.

easy enough to do.

The Maddat leafs are for more than just flipped leafs. They are a combination lowering spring and traction spring:
* Flipped half-leaf to control torque windup
* Reversed eyes for lowering
* King Springs lowering base

As to how well the work, I still haven't heard a review. Just that Maddat has a reputation of selling good quality parts.

I'm running the same set of Konis in the rear of my ute, and I'd say compared to the KYB shocks I had, they're much better. More so over corregation and small bumps like that they're much more sturdy and a little softer...

I can't say much about the leave springs but surely you could flip a leaf to get it lower for lessthat $500?...
