Dude you may change that gas kit because if leaking then very dangerous for the burned..what type of kit are you used in you vehicle??branded or non branded??Oil pump is good choice and bolt is the checking point of the oil... http://www.primescales.com/store/?sl=EN

1. set the crank to TDC at #1
2. put oil in the pump, and position the shaft dot with dot like picture below, and install it.




the dizzy end should look like this:




install your dizzy after that

the shaft have a dot to be aligned with the oil pump mark.




this thing is important, for the shaft drive the dizzy too.

On the L-series engine, the timing shaft is driven by the oil pump. Be careful of that.

yeah just unbolt and replace, it just has a similar shaft to a dizzy

try not to split apart the spacer and pump housing if that seal is not already leaking (it shouldn't come apart unless you lever that join)

i have never removed or replaced an oil pump before. the gasket on mine is leaking.
Is it just a case of unbolt and replace or is there more to it?
oh yeah, l20b engine fyi but figure it would be the same process as a series.
