The manifold, I bought it just like that from a guy who went turbo on his Datsun. The head side flange is from an A14/A15 oval port. The rest of it, I honestly do not know. It was made by welding both together. Not the best welding job in the world but it does work very well! I paid about $25.00 for it, so I think it was a pretty good buy. Thanks for asking.

Nice unit, the manifold is modded for round/oval ports or repaired?

Hi David. I did not take any pictures of it. But to give you an idea of it, these bearings that I used are full metal, they are flat like washers and they have many rollers inside(not the three balls that came from the factory). The hole in the middle of these bearings is a little smaller than the original ones so it has to be opened something like two mm. or so, just enough so they can fit in place of the original ones.

Hi Huicho,

I have rebuilt many matchbox distributors, but I cannot picture what you are saying. There are three ball bearings, but it is the plate (plastic bearing retainer) that breaks.

Got any photos?

David

Hi guys! I just made an upgrade to my matchbox ignition. I was able to replace the factory very fragile ball bearings(what was left of them, anyways), with two full needle bearings from a Datsun b210-210 transmission(automatic is my best guess because they are flat and not round). All I had to do was to open up the hole in the middle with a grinder until it fitted onto the breaker plate where the original ones were. Guess what? No more wabbling and these bearings should last a lifetime! The Nissan part number for these bearings is, 32265-H7200. Hope this is helpful to you all! Thanks!
