COP coil over plugs absolutely hate the things, yes they improve packaging but at the expense of reliability (they last 70-120,000 kms on average) and increased aftermarket parts profits they cost a pretty penny. Not questioning the benefits of COP (yes closer travel for spark to the plug) but Im not so worried that electricity needs to travel an extra 30cm or so to the plug. Much better and cheaper alternative....

And many folks have had genuine Nissan coil packs and never had a problem. A more important question is: are the new packs more reliable (last longer)?

I really doubt any coil pack would result in 14kw more power than any other brand-new coil pack.

But certainly cracked packs are somewhat common. Buying a new coil pack could result in 14kw increase when the existing pack is partially broken.

I have just upgraded my coils to splitfire coil packs... Only reason I changed over was because I turned the lights off with my engine running and I could see a small spark from 3 of the 4 coils... They had cracked. They just don't last that well in the heat and now that they are getting old its. A no brainer to source a new set :)

Hi guys has anyone had anything to do with superspark coil packs?They say that they can add up to 14kw and have a stronger spark which creates better combustion.And what about splitfire ive heard they are good.
