Bluebird uses H190 diff or H165 diff. The former is too large to fit into an H165 housing. If it is H165 it will fit into an H165 housing.

Yes I did it in my old ute. I used a series 2 Bluebird centre and it bolted straight in to my H165 ute diff.
I believe the series 1's were different (can't remember maybe the axle splines) and the Series 3 bluebirds had the bigger H190 style centre.
Hope that helps?
