Since the coil appears to have a resistor bolted to it, it almost for sure REQUIRES the resistor.

For the factory 1200 wire colors for Start and IGN wires, see Coil Wiring.

What's the part number on the coil? Brand etc. more information and we can,see if we can work this out.

On my 1200 I think the wires were just bridged together when removing the resistor.
My stanza, well I had to put terminals on each of the wires and hook up to the positive, of the coil.

Do not remove the resistor UNLESS the coil is designed for use with no resistor.

Ok thanks.
Its The no-points distributor if it has BLUE and BLACK/WHITE wires will go the COIL+ (BW) and COIL- (BLUE) terminals.Got that right,But i asked some 1 an they told me to remove resistor.
So IGN wire to ballast resistor on the new coil what part of the resistor does the wire go?What goes to the battery??

Wire the new Coil the same way as the old coil:
START wire to COIL+
IGN wire to ballast resistor on the new coil

The no-points distributor if it has BLUE and BLACK/WHITE wires will go the COIL+ (BW) and COIL- (BLUE) terminals.

If the no-points distributor has RED & GREEN wires then it needs an external electronic module.
