Ok, it has been a very long time since I touched the B210. Other than pulling the carb, rebuilding it, and figuring out is is shot beyond my personal skill level, I haven't done anything to it. However, on the 11th my baby B is coming to her new home. I have all new brake parts, master cyls, gaskets, hoses, and lots of other toys to keep us both occupied for a while.
Now, here is the issue I have ran in to. I plan on eventually supercharging this vehicle. I don't say this engine, because I'm not sure of the shape it is in and I will not be throwing any big performance bits on an engine I haven't went through. However, since the carb is shot (and now completely oxidized) I have to look at my options.
So far I like the idea of redline weber's 32/36 kit, but that offers very little for my future plans. I also like the idea of R1 motorcycle carbs, but I have no idea how I would be able to make a manifold for them due to having an oval port H89 head. Lastly, the idea of a single DCOE or SU seems nice, but may be well beyond my skill level for tuning.
I guess what I'm looking for is input on which route to go. For the above options, I am figuring anywhere from $350-$1000 with $1k being the most I plan to spend on any carb setup at this time. So do I plan for my future setup and go DCOE/SU/R1 and deal with manifold headaches, or do I go with the DGV 32/36 and save those headaches for later?
Also, what are some current suppliers of performance parts for the A15? Specifically camshaft or camshaft regrinds since tomei has discontinued their cams. If possible, US based companies are prefered because of freight charges.

Too true JDM bumpers from the 120y are perhaps the best of all the datsuns really well curved and shaped http://www.wendycainphotography.com/b ... h/120y/riverside120y.jpeg

Yea, in the 70s the US started using those horrid bumpers on everything. Its funny, as long as we have something that looks like a bumper, we are legal. That's why I plan on getting the non-US spec bumpers once I begin body work and paint prep.
Even though my 620 did not come from the factory with a rear bumper, they have pulled me over for not having one till I show them the owner's manual. I got tired of explaining it and put the dealer added step bumper back on.
I really like the front and rear non-us spec bumpers. Not really a fan of the bumperettes on the B210s.

really? no emmissions but you cant have bumperettes? Even German bmw 2002 got away with more in that era. When the time comes after its on the road leagally, you could use halve alloy tubing also with bends rounded off all polished. Im surprised at what passes for bumpers for some other non japanese cars! Good luck its a good base eg. you could/find/build something like this without overriders http://img98.imageshack.us/img98/4583/bmw2002.jpg

Yea, don't even want to think about those bumpers... If it wasn't against the law I would remove the bumpers until I could get non-US spec bumpers, but you have to have some form of front and rear bumper in GA.
I'm tempted to pull the head off and check out the engine top to bottom before trying to start it, but I'm also in time crunch to get it finished. I guess we will see how everything goes next weekend.

The first thing is make sure you can get it to run well after that you will gain speed by replacing those ugly bumpers forced on all classic japanese cars and replace them with the Jp items of bumperettes of some kind. Anything is better. No pollution gear requirements? great stuff and good score on H89 head! Love the color will look nice lowered, black steelies or mags with good rubber.

Removed the carb for cleaning and a rebuild.
What smog stuff can I remove from the stock manifold if I'm still using the hitachi? I may go ahead and buy a 32/36, but I would like to know what I can and can't remove with the stock carb. There are no emissions regulations in my area.

Alright, here is my little project. It is a 4 door B210 with an A15 engine and H89 Head. I was told it has been sitting for about 4 years. Due to continuing issues with my 620, the heat is on to make this car into my daily driver. So far the only thing I have done is cleaned the fuel tank and had it sealed against future corrosion. The current plan is to replace all bearings, seals, filters, pumps, fluids, and chase down electrical gremlins so that this can be a reliable car. I also need a battery and I have to clean the carb. The eventual plan is to pick up another A-series engine and 5 speed so that I can rebuild the A15 for boost. I have a goal of 140whp, but more realisticly, I want to run between 13-15lbs of boost reliably. I will continue lurking and gathering info for my eventual boosted application So at long last, here she is:
