I reckon going to 77 mm first up for a road engine means you get 2 more goes at an engine rebuild (78mm next, 79mm , maybe 80mm). If it's a race engine, you go for biggest overbore, & the engine block is considered replaceable. If it's a road car & you want to keep the same engine number, the smallest you can get away with is a good idea.

Would it be possible to get a late model Nissan Micra, fit the 1.8 litre motor from a Tiida & then turbocharged it? Your answer must include parts numbers for the conversion. You have 12 months. Commence.

for JE you order custom pistons. Tell them what size you want. But why bother with 77mm? Go with 79mm for maximum horsepower.

hello all,
sorry in new to this.
im starting to build a 1500 I read that most guys put je pistons in them but don't tell what type they are. im chasing where I can buy new je forged pistons that are 77mm. because the je web site doesn't help at all.
