Better than worn points! I've heard it can make a difference on highly boosted engines, but no difference on stock or mildly uprated engines. See if you can find some dyno tests to see how it compares to newly installed points system.

Pardon my ignorance but I was just wondering what an msd ingition controller does? the coil is self explanatory but I've heard some people doing swaps but what does it do and what performance/reliability advantages are there to it?
How does it work with an existing dizzy?
Sorry just curious!
