You don't want it to open quicker. You want it to just barely close all the way when cold.

It should require about five minutes. Until the engine reaches operating temperature.

Try it both ways - only one direction will close the choke butterfly flap. Hold the throttle slightly open while you turn the housing.

Hi DD

I went through that article what i don't understand is that what is the door position of the carburetor at more choke and less choke situation , sorry for troubling

now my door position is similar to this position

http://s297.photobucket.com/user/ddgo ... _152143_DSC04286.jpg.html

so wanted to know whether to turn it clockwise or counterclockwise to make it open completely ?

thanks

Hi Guys

i had to replace my electric choke since i have lost its coil spring on my b310 , i had metal one i found a plastic one (black color) with single wire, fixed it it is working but carb door opens about 80% ,definitely it should be adjusted, to which side should i turn my choke housing to open the door fully when hot is it clockwise or anticlockwise ?

Metal one used to get very hot when working but plastic one doesn't get hot but works is it normal ?

thanks
regards
sumith
