latest plans with the motor are to mock up everything I need on the stuffed motor, and transfer it onto the running car and see how it all goes. Then start a rebuild on the stuffed motor. I'm contemplating moving the alternator onto the passenger side similar to the early a12's and mounting the supercharger on the spark side, and utilising a toothed drive system that kemotorsport can supply. I have bought a genuine alternator bracket (from thermo housing) to assist with mounting either the charger or alternator depending on what route I go.I can see the water inlet pipe being in the road though, may have to shorthen this.

D that's what I'm looking at getting. Although I'm not after the twin pulley alternator anymore because it's the later model a series with the alternator on the spark side.

A14force I've already got a custom made twin pulley that d has supplied . What have you got?

I have some custom front crankshaft pulleys for sale.
It would be much easier to attach a blower pulley to one of these, rather than to the crappy brittle piss weak factory one.

This might be the only type of pulleys you will need if you can get the Mazda 626 wavecharger alternator model.

thanks for the info man, much appreciated.

didnt get a chance to get the engine up on stands this weekend. hopefully during the week.

been having a read on pulley ratios and from what I can gather 2:1 ratio would be a good starting point. can order pulleys off this guy i hope: http://www.kemotorsport.com/

thanks

Stock '13' bolts are strong enough for a 2.4 liter engine. But if you have the '12' or no-mark bolts by all means upgrade them.

1973 came with alternator on left side, down low
1974 came with alternator on right side, up high by #1 spark plug

The plans/suggestions sounds spot-on to me. Look forward to see the progress on this build.

sorry thought you had the earlier engine which has alternator on the in/ex side which does make it easier to mount supercharger on a side draft mani and pulley running off the back of the alternator back pulley.
