Home away from home Joined: 2013/10/31 1:55 From Central coast NSW Group: Registered Users Posts: 254	It also helps ur oil over the coarse of its life(between oil changes) as oil absorbs any hydrocarbons that is passed by ur rings so a positive flow through ur crank case is benificial to ur oil lubrication life as well as ur engine, if it is being sucked out then happy days but if it sit then it absorbs into ur oil reducing its friction coefficient... Plug it until upu can get a new one. Why use the PCV valve instead of a simple filter? Two reasons are 1) it positively ventilates the crankcase, reducing varnish and sludge and 2) it keeps petroleum fumes out of the car - it smells better. Posted on: 2014/2/26 8:31
