Its really simple..

1. jack car up
2. take off the wheel
3. disconnect the brake line and remove at the horse shoe clip
4. undo the two lower bolts that the strut connects to the ball joint on the lower control arm
5. undo the three top bolts that hold the strut
6. push down on the lower control arm and hold the strut should move down enough then remove from car

if needed
7. loosen or undo the idle arm and sway bar to get more movement in the lower control arm to move it down far enough to get it out

To do your struts should take less then 10 mins each side... its a peice of piss

G'day all.

Just wondering if anyone has any good tips on best way to remove a whole strut from a 1200 ute?

Will be my first time doing this so any handy/safe tips would be much appreciated.

After a bit of research I kind of understand the basics but was hoping to talk to anyone who's done this before to try and avoid any common mishaps. I want to remove whole strut including spring in one go, what's the best way to do this?

Cheers,

Mat
