Hi Anths, thanks for the advice and detail. Having a look at what's around it appears it isn't a common feature. I'll either modify the manifold or the housing.

Quite often turbo housings have tabs cast and tapped into them for factory heat shield's to bolt too, you can cut them down/off just make sure you blend all the sharp edges so not to cause cracks from stress raiser from heat cycles witin the cast iron housing.
hacksaw or small stainless cutting disc with a sanding disc to blend will do the job ;)

Just wanting to know if this fitting on the turbo cast iron housing is a common feature on these turbo's.

I understand it is a mount but it is nuisance! It fouls with the strut tower on a 1200.
