I picked up my coupe for $800nz not a spot of rust but i look at a whole lot of #### boxes for about 5 months before i found my one. if you are looking for a project my mate has a shell and all the barts to build a complete car with a choice of a12 a14 or 1500 engine.

To be honest there is no usual price to pay for such a thing! You might be lucky to pick up a granny mobile for around NZ$1000, althought this is pretty unlikely in the coupe, anywhere up to actually I don't know i've seen unmodified ones go for around NZ$5000, but it may get higher, it's all a matter of playing the waiting game, I got my sedan with WOF and reg, for NZ$300 with absolutley no rust (apart from paint chips but they're not really structural! So who knows? Good luck on your quest!

hi,
Im in search for my first car...and thought a Datsun 1200 Coupe would be a good choice. What should i expect to pay for a non-rusty, original, or slightly modifyed one here in NZ? Are there many around...(i know most of you guys are in AUS, but i saw a few NZers, so i thought i would ask). I am planning on doing a few mods, im already konw quite a bit about them, and i know alot about a BMC A series the datsun A was loosley based on.
thanks, Volodkovich
