That looks amazing! I was thinking of doing something quite similar actually.

The texture doesn't show up so well in the photos, but I presume its got that crackle finish?

Thought I would share. I picked up one of these covers last year. I wanted something a little different and had it powdercoated in a textured finish combined with the polished raised lettering etc. also fitted a genuine " elephant oil" filler cap ( ex L series engine).
