Don't stress about it, everyone has an opinion and me personally weren't offended. I get sad about the state of the planet in general and we as humans are 100% to blame for all of what goes on. I think everyone is mature enough on here not to hold grudges and just accept people have differing views!

Ok well i apologise to everyone either offended or just annoyed by this topic. I didnt realise how many people wouldnt agree. This will be my last post on this so just let it pass out of view.

I really like the community on here and dont want my mistake to be held against me so please accept my apology and i will not put these kinds of posts or express these views again.

The problem with all this is the fact that the Muslim community is getting the blame for terrorism and also getting racially vilified by every day Aussies due to a minority extremist group, and personally I don't believe that's what this country is about. We are built on multi culturalism and without the wonderful mix of cultures we would not be the country we are! That's why we have one of the best countries in the world.
You can go anywhere in the world and you will always find a minority group who's sole purpose is to insight violence or hatred, black white Muslim or catholic. I feel everyone has a right to be in Australia and live a peaceful life but like anything once you don't follow the Australian way of life you need to pay the price.
I just can't understand why we can't just all live together and be free!

Oh I'm more than aware of it.
It's got nothing to do with halal or animal cruelty. I don't see it being an anti 3rd world tax. Vietnam, Africa, India, a lot of non Islamic nations kill their animals for food In not too dissimilar manners. Some farmers kill their own animals by bleeding them out for food. Fisherman do It to fish for sport.
I personally don't see it being any different.

I remember when people stopped eating vegetables cause plants have feelings too.

In life humans are the most destructive and selfish beasts currently on the planet. We just need to be more tolerant to others religious beliefs and if that Includes allowing food to be slaughtered in a certain way, hey I don't have an issue as on the grand scale of things, switch to other foods where they can be killed humanely. Pork for Instance.

Unfamilia, putting religion aside its still a completely unnecessary act to let the animal bleed out for a minute until death. And unfortunately thats a 'religious requirement'...

Chickens will still move cause of nerves. Like a lizards tail.

Its a build up of both not supporting islam and unnecessary cruelty.

Also any veggies and the like have already automatically been passed for Halal certification. Which still means an unnecessary tax to the companies. I know its not compulsory tax and the companies make an investment choice to put the halal on their products, but they wont be better off in the near future when these boycotts start really making progress.

Chris, read your statement again... Your comparing that site and saying that its the same 'alarmist and sensationlist' thing as what the media is doing to 'The Situation'. The media is NOT hyping Halal situation up at all.

My other comments were directed at you saying 'typical media hype'. Which is why i said whats there to not hype up about what is happening.

There was two ways your comment could have implemented, i responded for both.
1 one says what you intended, but the media is not talking about halal at all.
2nd possibility is that you meant about what the media IS talking about, because they're not talking about halal, therefore your statement could only work by you saying 'the situation' becomes what the media actually is talking about. Which is beheading etc.

I'm not saying your an insensitive prick that disagrees with media hyping up the beheading issue (or any other issue in the media) its just how your comment reads...

I honestly can't justify why you'd bother coming on here to try turn what i'm saying into something wrong? Its an awareness note. Yes up for discussion and opinion, but why so against the idea? (Of me posting this topic)

Flatto I agree. Thats why i did state in original topic that its not suppose to be up for arguement. I understand that Chris is challenging a statement i claim to be true with no proof of such, but thats now been answered.
