The A12 Valve Clearance spec is 0.014 in HOT for both intake and exhaust.

To adjust cold, use .001 smaller gap. It will loosen up as the engine heats.

Ive always set my valve clearances at 14 thou with engine cold on both inlet and exhuast with stock A12 and race A14 both where the same. Some people do 12 thou inlet and 14 thou exhuast shoudl be safe either way.
