You do need to worry about the Residual Valve. The Residual Check Valve preloads the drum brakes with about 10 psi pressure. Disk brakes must not use a Residual Valve. You can remove it from the master cylinder if using a standard disk/drum master.

B310 doesn't have a Brake Proportioning valve (brake balance valve). It has an LSV (Load Sensing Valve).

I would try your new brake combo with a simple splitter to check the natural balance. If it is good, put the NP-Valve back on.

hi guys. im almost going to complete the brake modification on my datsun B310.

master & servo pump: silvia s14
front: 910 struth, vanette vantilated disc and caliper
rear: Mitsubishi lancer disc and caliper.

my question is, do i need to eliminate the proportioning valve or need to do something with it.?

thanks in advance.
