You could just give Nissan a call and ask them what it was and if the model car that you want the engine from had it!

Thank you for your reply.

I am not very interested on the imobilizer system. I was just planing my approach before spending the $$$. If i get a engine from a car with this kind of system, I need to know if i have to take all the wiring home (including keys and ingnition key) or not.

Maybe I am just messing up with it and the NATS was just a central locking system.

If you are just after the engine to put in a car without this NATS just get one that doesn't have this on it!

Otherwise if it is like the anti theft system on the Australian Commodores!
And you wish to us the computer that came with this, you will need to get the anti theft module as well as the computer plus what ever is used to trigger the module on and off!

It is easier to just get a computer that didn't come with this!

An if it's the security part that you want! it is probably easier to just put an aftermarket alarm or imobiliser!

But I do remember seeing somehting like this on a 2000 model pulsar and if it is this all it is, is just central locking with a fancy name!

Sorry that I couldn't tell you more!

Hello eveybody

I started this subject in other post but I hope that it can grab more atention over here.

NATS is the NISSAN ANTI THEFT SYSTEM (something like this). I think that it is some type of engine imobilizer, where the sender is on the car key. When the key is the correct one the ECU can start the engine. Micra use to have it around here, so 200 SX possibly has it too.

What I would like to know, is if it has some implications in the CA18DET or SR20DET engine swap?

Am I geting confused?
