Sounds like it is damaged. Hopefully a previous owner didn't glue the knob on. Maybe the switch behind the knob is turning? Try holding it (reach up under dash) while turning the knob.

Push knob in slightly
Turn 1/4 counter-clockwise
Pull off

Hello,
Please help me. I am trying to remove my old cracked dash pad and replace it with the restored one. I can't get the windo washer knob off. It's the illuminated kind. 1973 1200 coupe. Has the words "wipe/wash" on it. Have tried every way I've seen on here but I think they are all for the non illuminated knobs. Hank you so much!
