Averysexygoat, there should be literally tons of A-series trannies around you. No need to go overseas for one. If all of the older cars in your local junkyards have been crushed (which wouldn't surprise me now that I think about it), Then I'm sure there are others on the west coast who can help out.
I'm in Texas and have a few 1200 four speeds if you absolutely have no luck finding one out there.
Can any of you left-coasters help him out?

i rang a shipping company cause i wanted to get some 5-speeds from over there but it was $1000 for a 1m by 1m container of upto 1 tonne, then 25% duty and i think 10%gst too for the value of gearboxes

So you got a 4-speed tranny if you want ill take it off youre hands. Cant they ship it or something. Im sure i can find a way too get it down here.
