I had a Subaru Bratt which I lost (police impounded it *&^%##@#GRRR!!) but I remember the hardtop, made of fiberglass, was very heavy. I got rid of it and I was in the process of making a canvas top, like tha army trucks, it is lighter, better(cooler) and you can take it apart as needed. Have you ever thought about it? I would recomend that idea, use army canvas, not vinyl which tears of and breaks.

I did see a guy advertising them somwwhere. Cant remember where I saw it.
They were like AUS$1000 or so from memory.
I will have a think about it and see if I can come up with some more detail for you.
I think it is made by the same guy who did the one for the gold ute in Hot4s or one of those mags just recently.

Have I got a deal for you! You ship me a decent, rebuildable Ute, and I'll make a hard cover for you. Huh? What do you think? Doesn't even have to be a runner.
Nah, I didn't think that would work. It was worth a try though.

I have a Datsun 1200 ute. I have approached many companies such as Hardcover Australia, New Gel, Car styling but cannot find anyone who will make a hardcover. Does anyone know of a company or individual that will take on such a job?
