sounds definitely like ignition issue i have had ignition systems play up in the heat such that the engine will stall and start and drive perfect when it cools down.

Could be ignition coil breaking down or any ignition related components.

Also can be your ignition wiring frayed, loose or corroded.

also check your ignition switch could be shorting out inside but seems unlikely as they seem to burn up into smoke when they go (at least it did for me)

Hi Faizan,

Unfortunately the video wouldn't play on my Android 4.1 browser.

But it sounds like heat lock. Is the fuel line running near the exhaust?
Or perhaps a loose wire at the coil, resistor or inside the distrubutor.

Hello Everyone. I'm having this issue with my datsun120y 1974 for quite some time now. it happens only in summers after a run of like 5km or 6km. Engine loses power turns off and start again by itself. I've created video of issue. http://i120y.tumblr.com/post/88020230 ... -wrong-with-my-carb-today Let me know if anyone know what's wrong.
