True, I agree with what you are saying.
I was just curious as to what they thought the value would be!

1200rallycar - Oye! I'm not having you as my insurance broker! May your next car be a Volvo..

The car was "Glass's guide" value, something like AU$2100? I paid $3000 for it. But seriously, if it got stolen, or got smashed in some freak accident..It's not like any amount of money will buy another one.

So long as I have enough money back to go on a good tropical holiday to recover from the traumatic experience...that's good enough.

I could have negotiated an agreed value, it would have cost me more. But what's the point. Insurance is a necessary evil, But never is it something to depend on. (Don't let the TV adverts fool you). My vigilance and paranoia is the only insurance I trust.

Chris.

I spent much of the day chasing the paperwork, but I can now say that I'm an owner of a running and registered 1200.

My project 1200 hasn't moved too far except I'm making up a dump pipe prototype out of PVC drainage piping.

I hope to see some you on the road.

Chris

ps. Since turning 30, and not having any crashes or fines for 5 years..my insurance premiums are very low. only AU$273 for full comprehensive cover. I was pleasantly surprised.
