cant beat the hotness of an american muscle car

I was contemplating an old Buick straight 8 near NY for 8k usd
to bring into Japan, do her up slowly then supercharge the 8
with an old charger for mild boost, some breaks, suspension
and modern upgrades like better electrics, heater & air con.

Muscle Car: $10,000 car + $7,000 mods
Datsun Car: $3,000 car + $10,000 mods

six of one, half a dozen of the other

That's exactly what I'm contcontemplacontemplating. Buying a finish car back home for around 9K. Probably just redo the heads on the car and get it running.

My parts are easy to sell for the most part.

Incredible that I can get a lot done on any muscle car for less

You are in the States the land of cheap cars and endless variety
for most things other than japanese cars but you could get a
chevette with an LS conversion for prob the price of tubs.

US wise you can get so many things already setup for what you want
that you can leave that datsun with a few mods to enjoy as is.

Have you considered something easier to start from or already worked
on like if you go to Datrats there might be a project to save $$ on.
4k for tubs is Monaco prices.

Also can consider a race car and convert it back for the road

4k is a good price for custom full painting. How much would it cost in PR?
