www.precisionintl.com has a lot of parts as well, valve guides for less than $5 each (cast iron) and a full gasket kit for $60.

Entire engine gasket kit is $63 USD direct from Bprojects website

Bproject sells racing valve guides about $180/set of eight

Nissan sells stock valve guides for $6.16/each. Oftentimes only the intake guides need to be changed (test the guides, yours may be OK)

And of course the forklift places sell them

These guys had them when I bought them (http://www.autosurplus.com.au/), from memory they were 5-10 each, it was a while ago. I got a set of main bearings from these guys http://www.reflexeng.com.au/, they had them in stock since the other guys had run out. They might also have parts like that.

Otherwise you can get lucky calling a place like Repco or Autobarn who probably wont have them but might know who will. Another avenue might be contacting a head reconditioning place, they'd know where to get them.

Nows the time to repalce the valve guides if it has been smoking after starting. Otherwise, there's nothing of maintenance to be do

After you get it replaced, be sure to retorque the head bolts every 2 years to keep the gasket in shape

Hi all! Looks like the a12 has finally done a head gasket.

Just wondering the best place to get a kit and when replacing is there anything else I should be looking at maintenance wise at the same time?
Cheers,
Tom
