I finished my strut conversion. The only thing is I didn't need 120y caster rods, my original 1200 ones did the trick. Thanks for all your help guys

i have done this conv. it is a good one too. i found that the 120y castor rods didn't fit neither do the 1200 ones i had the 120y one machines down.use the 1200 springs cos it looks like crap with the stanza ones. get new 1200 king springs they cost around 150-169 bucks. it also helps if u tell us where u r from hope this helps. pm me if u need any more help

this has been discussed in recent months, try the search feature for more detail, but here's the short answers:

Can you use the 1200 strut insert with teh stanza struts or do i have to use the stanza strut inserts?
stanza struts are longer bodies and larger diametre. you have to use stanza inserts

What do I swap over? What is the best way? get the complete Stanza strut (with brakes and flexible brake hose), steering arm, balljoint, and lower control arm. you can easily modify the 1200 castor rod to fit (or apparently 120Y castor rods will bolt up), and I can't remember if you need the stanza outer tie rod end? too long ago...

Should I use the stanza springs? you can if you want. they are slightly higher rate, but you will need to cut them to get the ride height anywhere near what it should be

you can use your 1200 spring, but because of the different perch height, the car will be about 3/4" higher if you don't cut them.

I was hoping I could have gotten all my answers that way I wouldn't have to make this post but here it goes.

Can you use the 1200 strut insert with teh stanza struts or do i have to use the stanza strut inserts?

What do I swap over? What is the best way? Should I use the stanza springs?

Hopefully someone can give me a in depth story on how to convert, I just wanna know whats involved and what I need before I embark on my journey

Cheers
Damo

PS Thanks goes out to the people I have already messaged and annoyed, sorry guys
