Here are two reasons to use a Nissan box instead of Toyota box:

1. 56-five speed has five driving gears. Toyo box has 4+overdrive

2. Keep it real, keep it all Nissan

After reading this I dont know why anyone would pay near to or over a grand for a 56 or 60 series 5speed.
Anyone know what Dellow are charging for both the kit alone and the kit with reco gbox these days?
Anyone got one for sale for that matter?
(hell Id have more luck asking that than for a 5 speed 56 or 60 wouldnt I?)

the only mount you get is the one that bolts to the gearbox. you need to make your own crossmember for the box. use some 50x6mm steel and use sandwich plates to hold it through the floor.

There seems to be a few pics searching dellow but none of them are IN the cars!
Anyone got any pics of these installed? Are the mounts included with the kit? (Wiki sez you have to remove the existing mounts)

dat141, it would be great to have some photos.

I found this topic a couple days with pictures of similar conversion. TnPshow had a problem that the input shaft did not stick out far enough after the conversion-> clutch problem

Dat141, do u have any measurements of the conversion u did? It would be great to know the distance from the 'front of the bellhousing' to spot where the bellhousing bolts on. Then I would have some kind idea that what kind of space the clutch requires to function properly.

thanks once again

Tuukka

N13, B12 'over there'?
N13 is N13 'everywhere'. B12 likewise.

The problem is some countries called certain N-series (Pulsar family) vehicles a Sunny, and others called some B-series (Sunny family) a Pulsar. Better to use the chassis code N13 and B12 -- then we know exactly what you mean.

I'll try and remember to take some photos next time the gearbox is out of the car. There are probably easier ways to convert a T50 into a 1200 but we just used what we had lying around, and it only cost around $250 for the tailshaft and the new clutch plate.

Heya Kue

Did you have to use that spacer plate thing between the adaptor and the block, or does the adaptor take that space up?
