youd have a ladder bar for the first halve to hold the mains caps
no hoses direct feed into the mains from the pump like in the pic
below of the pump unitary with the pan which in a 2 piece would be
on the mains cap section then the cover plate seals it up.

Out of curiosity, how would you divide up a pan into two pieces? I have a BMW engine that's two-piece but that was only because one is a skirt to handle the BMW engine being installed at an angle, and the other is the actual pan. My mental image of an A-series dry sump is basically a V bottom plate with just enough depth for the counterweights, and a small valley down the center where the sump collection tubes attach.

Love to see a CNC 2 piece dry sump pan, 2 pieces would cost less on materials and be easy to service clean and add strength (could even do as model T owners do to their 3 bearing engines and add 2 extra mains using the pan for A10 engines needing boost and 12000rpm)

Heavy duty sump guard might work. There's another frame rail that I'm hoping I can set the motor on, that'd act to guard the flywheel.
That scavenge pump is a _nice_ setup.

Why not just build a heavy duty sump guard; look at some rally cars, they tend to have guards that you can use to jack up the car.

Don't ever cheap out on a dry sump pump.

This is the type of mod that you don't cut corners.

Proper setup as shown.

Tilting the engine would help also then could have a serious spaghetti style exhaust header and carbs would have longer inlet options (manifold length, filter shape and velocity stacks etc)

How far the motor can be dropped for a lower CoG will will be determined more by the flywheel (and box) than the sump.

I have a couple of sumps... proper dry sump ones
I'm going to try set one of my engines up for this and see how it goes
Same reason... to drop the motor into a better position
