Oh Madtimo yes the same suspension.
Remember the suspension never needs anything just balljoints every 30 years and shockers every 50 years! suspension is so strong for such a light car its overkill.
All in all a very low maintanance toy.

I was going to say DD that a dude in Canada has a 2 door sedan with a15, vented mazda brakes and weber and it looks treat. I gotta find the link sometime.
You should see the guys face in the photo.. he loves the mini-me toy.
You couldnt put it better than "its like a go cart with a hardtop" as my buddy said when he test drove the one he bought.
Hes doing a suzuki baleno gtx engine with sierra 5 speed upgrade. All alloy engine with single OHC 16v with 40cfm more than a Cultus (swift in Oz) GTI 1300 twin cam. This OHC 16v head is used by a litre speedway car in Melb with a 1300 block custom billet crank to make 196hp at 10,400 rpm with 1070cc! as in the class. They run crank angle sensor ignition, four throttle bodies with computer and no gearbox direct drive to the wheels.
I said why not use the GTI 1300 Twin Cam head but they showed me the ports and where they hit the water jackets (straight away) so they went OHC 16v which although flows more out of the block they were able to get the head to flow 240+ hp with the 1.6 bottom end. I never believed them until I saw the dyno sheets.
So my buddy Al is halve way there working his butt off trying to pay someone to finish it. I still think he should have gone for the big bore 1800cc version with the same stroke, however I can tell you hes going to have troubles wtih traction considering a worked a15 makes it a very scary little beast.

Yeah. It does look like there is more room in the 1000.

I noticed a 1000 ute for sale in my area. Do these have the same front suspension setup?

Looks like the 1000 has *more* room since there are no strut towers:

Hmm...this is interesting, I've never looked at 1000's before.

How much room is in the engine bay of these things?

There's one in British Columbia ... just two freeways and few thousand miles from Texas.

The B10 was indeed the first in the B-series line, the first "modern" Datsun.

Reading all this makes me really wish my 1000 was on the road. Even in stockstandard form. Maybe I am gonna have to go buy a runnaround for the fun of driving one.
