if you're talking overdrive boxes,there are 2 different switches,due to the shift pattern.they don't interchange,but i think the a14 4 speed interchanges with the later 5 speed.the difference is in how the lights are turned on.one appears to connect the circuit when the plunger is plunged,the other breaks the circuit.nissan only list the reverse switch for the later one,i think.

i dunno really but part that has the speedo cable thread on it is diffrent, cause i broke mine and cant replace!

actually i was stuffing round with the reverse lights at one stage and i think i did swap it over, i dont have any other 5-speeds sitting around so i musta got it off my 4-speed and the reverse lights work

To the best of my knowledge the switches are the same, one thig to check is that the wires are not shorting out under the boot

I reckon they'd be the same. You'll have to pull them out and check, because I'm not one of the few who have a 5 speed. Although My stock 1200 has an auto.. so no need for a 5 speed.

does anyone know if the four speed reverse switch is different to the 5 speed one?


im haveing trouble with the switch it doesn't contact the bar inside the gear box leaving the lights on the whole time.
