Apparently you can get all sorts of wierd and wonderful things engineered if you say it's for your business, i.e commercial use. A few different people have told me that, specifically people that you see advertising datto's in the trading post that have engine conversions that I thought couldn't be engineered.

There's usually a way around things like that if you are that keen to be able to legally drive it on the road. How? I don't know, but where there's a will, there's a way.

*insert cliche here* hehe.

Stick a lead weight in the front..oh man!!

That'd make the car even more dangerously balanced. In NSW, the factory weight is what the "formula" is applied to. No adding weight, or using the modified weight to justify the increase in displacement.

Hey Peddler,
I'm just about to start me CA conversion, I am quite sure a CA is legal in all states, in QLD an SR is illegal, but it all depends on teh engineer. For me to put in a 13B turbo Mazfix put in a 300kg lead weight in the front so that they deem it street legal then they will pass it. I all depends on what the engineer thinks is legal or SAFE for that manner

Cheers

Howdi Lad's,

Starting to put some plans together for a new toy. currently have all the bits and pieces for a CA18 into a 1200 Coupe, although need to speak to someone who has been there and done that in regards to rego. Any information would be greatly appreciated
