and yes i am a nutt for getting rid of the car althoguh in Sydney previous to buying the car, there was a lot of interest in the Under 2 Litre Sports Sedan series and guys were building cars left right and centre. I was being fed a lot of info form a few guys of this massive series similar the series down south. Unfortunatly it never came to fruit and fo rthat poitn was never supported by cams although there was a lot of interest. Numerous times i attended race meetings wanting to see the Under 2 Litre Sports Sedans run there own races when in fact resulted in them having to run up against the never ending budgets of the Open sports Sedan series and it was an absolute joke. There still are a few guys here in Sydney with under 2 Litre cars but to be honest mate they are fighting a never ending battle to get there own races.

As a first time racer although having a pretty decent car, there was no way in the world that i was goign to go out on the track with cars that had upwards of 650 to 700hp and still weight wize there were only a 150kg's heavier than the 1000, i may as well written dickhead on the front of my helmet and slap me on the back of it. The races usually are only 6 to 8 laps and when we are talking places like Oran Park and Wakefield, buy lap 3 or 4 it doesnt take much for something with 700hp to catch up and lap you and then you just end up pissing everyone off. Maybe to some but that is not Motorsport...... hence i sold the car.

So there ya go, and yes i do miss it BIGTIME

Cheers

I am not 100 percent sure, to be honest i can not take the rapp for building this little bullet, it was built buy a guy in Melbourne who now lives in Sydney named Allan Pitt. As far as my memory can serve me the rear brake set up is pretty much the standard gear although the drums themselves have been drilled to assist in cooling. The use of drum brakes is something that a lot of guys overlook when in actual fact they can be very effective if they are set up correct and maintained. The front brake system is again from memory Volvo rotors with Mazda calipers (dont hold me to this although i am pretty sure) The diff set-up is not something that i can share with you, all as i know is that the centres themselves cost around $3000 each and the actual housing is from a datto Ute.

Again dont hold me to any info supplied, although i am sure that the guy who bought it of me would be happy to tell you more, he sounded like a pretty cool sorta guy over the phone and easy to talk to

Cheers

If it is a Honda 6 cylinder bike motor it will likely be one of two; CBX inline air cooled or Goldwing flat six water cooled.
Honda did have some six cylinder GP bikes 250 , 350 and possible 500 I think. They had crazy redline between 18,500 and 21,000 RPM depending on the displacemnt.

thanks Stevo, I still can't believe the difference the flares and wheels have made to its appearance.

B310GX - car 34 is Ron Hay, and yes there is a blower there on top of a 6cyl 1040cc Honda bike engine. It's an historic Group R vehicle built by Ron Hay when that Honda bike engine was first released, but don't ask me what Honda bike it was - that's all I can remember about it. I don't recall seeing it before. Any of that ring a bell?
