Yeah Nismo H165 Diffs cost between AU$900 and AU$1200 new.
Second hand H-165 LSD diffs including housings are $700-$800.

Whatever..the Falcon will always be a heavy bomb, that screams Family car..

There's many options for an LSD, but i'm not really the man to talk to about it.

I understand its ridiculously expensive to get an LSD centre for the ute diff????

Maybe someone else can help

Daniel, the only thing I would be worried about is you said standard ute diff. If its not LSD he may get a huge jump on you while you're sitting on the line cooking one of your tyres.

i spoke to a friend who was once heavilyinto memorising xr facts and figures (dont ask!) and he says times in wheels and motor for an el xr6 auto stemmed from mid-low 15s to low 16s. so i guess it would be safe to assume 15.6s qtrs. the ute should be more than capable of this. Not very impressive for a sports model when you consider the standard times for a factory v6 carmry of about 15.7s for a manual. An xr6 ute on the other hand.....

If you want to check his specs go to
http://www.redbook.com.au/

It won't giv you 402m times but will give 0-100. The rest is power to weight.

Example AU XR6 (p.o.s.) 8sec 0-100 and 1600kg!!

I was just talking R32 GTR. By the way they are one of my favourite all-time cars...so Im not out to put crap on them. They are 1600kgs with "only" a 210kw motor. I think Ive seen a figure of 13.7 for non-Vspec but I was being conservative. There are cars like the HSV GTS which is 300kw and 1700kg that will struggle to do it in the 13's. Here is a top link to the many cars around the world and their respective and approximate 1/4 mile times. Enjoy...1/4 mile times

but who has ever run their own 'stock' car as quick as the maker has claimed to....?
