Deal on this datto didnt turn out as planned, got a bit ass raped
If you or anyone come across another good deal that wont leave me high and dry be sure to let me know
in the meantime im just gonna keep pluggin away at the one ive got cause i wanna do it myself this time, might actually learn something useful for a change :)

I agree with asunny...find someone with a warm A series and needs the money yesterday. I bought a whole 1200 coupe with a A15 JTS motor, and strong driveline for $1300.00AUS. The motor alone would have cost around $2200 from JTS without the webers...

I don't make the gaskets. Poole engineering make em. They're in Mosman park, mcabe ST. Find the number in the white pages.
They make gaskets for alot of the speedway guys. I've never had one made so I can't comment on quality etc.

carby came with the engine
probably needs a service :)
pretty impressed with the performance compared to my standard A10
you perth fellas wanna get together in about a month for a couple beers and a chat i think we could all help each other out a fair bit...

good to see a perth a14 guy asking that question thought it was too silly but a whole lot of great info

pretty much what i wanted to do has been mentioned how much was your carby and where did you get it serviced cal, and also where do you work datsik to be able to make the gaskets.

The A14 "GX" head (oval ports, closed chamber) is probably the best casting. For an overview of various head casts, see A-type Cylinder Heads

So is the 1200 GX head the best casting? Other than the rare pieces like the raised port one.
