Hey Rallycar1200, I'm in Keysbouorgh and the fibreglas place is just down the road from me in Dandenong near Noble park brake and clutch on Cheltenham rd. I will chase them up this week and find out some more details and if they need a bonnet to make the mold from.

Ok Lads.......

I have recieved further confirmation via email from Peter at CAMS that the Carbon Fibre Dash is not in the interest of the rules of IPRA even though as an interpretation of the rules it may be permitted. This being the case he would not allow a full carbon fibre dash as replacment

BUMMER !!!! I recon but hey rules are rules

Cheers
Peddler

thats a good point about cost 1200rallycar..... this guy that i have been speaking to recons that Carbon Fibre work isnt as much money as people think.... to the point when think about moulds etc etc the only real difference in manufacturing process is the fact that they have to kiln or heat the artical i think ?????

Cheers

I reckon it would cost about a $1000.
Cheaper to paint your bonnet black!

Still don't think the dash would be eligable Marty>

Is it possible to get a carbon bonnet made up in a natural finish. I have been chasing around down in Melbourne and have found a place that makes fibreglass panels and also does carbon components so I'm trying to get a price.

I would love one but a bit out of my budget at the moment. Concentrating on getting my other stuff together.I was going to get the dash reskined and make a new dash face If I could get a blank dash face at the right price would be more than interested I was thinking of doing one out of aluminium and fitting the guages into that.Guiving it the race look Carbon fibre would look nice too.
