Hy guys,Matt, the picture works now, so disregard my dartboard comment. Dgonz, yea, I was there, arrived at about that time on Saturday, the guy walking away at the rear end of the orange 610 is me, as I left my car there for the group pix. You left just when the party begun! , well, I drove from Long beach, first time I drove up to Shasta, I never though it would be that far, not too bad, but first time is always like that because you do not know what to expect, like driving back was a breeze, I did it in 7.5 hours, to my delight, I never saw police up untill in the door steps of big LA county, then you got to civilize your speed. I did 100+ MPH and the stock 610 did it smoothly, I was surprised, good maintenance pays off, I can only imagine what it will be with the headers, cam, twin DCOE's,280Z 5 speed, and the coil overs, in this stock form did excelent, Demitri went back to So Cal all the way w/me, fun race, next year my 610 should be in much better shape, probably will drive it again, or maybee the B210, because I saw no B210's, and that made me a little sad, I have to become the B210 ambassador, it deserves it, it is a great car. My 1200UTE is too far away south for a drive, but if things go fine I will try to bring one into the States, not Ca though, to much emissions probs, I will look into the easiest States to register it in. I saw some 1200, sedans, and a nice green coupe, it had rear lowering blocks and those dragster bars that worked excelent as sway bars, because I saw it in the cone road and handled very well. I have seen these bars in hot rods, and they connect the rear of ea bar... (opposite end of the rubber bushing that touches the front side of the springs)...where each bar has a plate, vertical plate at the very end, connect both bars with a single bar that bolts on to the ends of both spring bars(the flat vertical plates), would that make it work as a sway bar? I had those bars in a Mazda 808 years ago, and worked well, almost as a sway bar,(sway bar is the right thing, but some model cars have no bar available, and this arrangement would help achieving good rear end performance)...although I did not have this extra bar , parallel to the axle(I do not know if you have seen this before, hope my explanation works). That gree 1200 was excelent, I liked it, the guy made overfebder flares just for the meet, it was not finished, but looked good, and protected the car, he had I believe 215/50/13 tires, 13X7 wheels. Well, this is getting long, the library PC (where I am right now) is telling me I have only 5 min, so I will be back later. Too bad I did not meet you, but, soon our Datsuns will cross path. We had a wild drive home, ask Demitri, it was fun.
later.
Jaime.
