I saw an old book for the 120Y and it had details for the dissy. I forgot to write them down - and I assume they will be different to the GX anyway.

I read that advance started at 550RPM and was pretty much all done by about 2100RPM and that depending on the motor it was either 12-15 advance by 2100RPM. If I remember correctly the vacuum advance added 12-15deg so the total advance possible was in the order of 24-30degrees.

Does this sound about right?

How much different will the GX specs be?

Can anybody tell me what the advance curve is meant to be on the A12GX?

I'm not interested in measuring my current one on a machine because I don't want to measure something with tired springs etc.

I need to know what the advance curve is - where it starts, where it stops advancing, how much the vaccum advance is meant to add etc.

Can someone give me a text book answer? Is there a graph anywhere?

I'm installing a custom programmable High Energy Ignition and need a base line to start from.
