My AC works great (or did before I pulled the motor) and really helps in the sub-tropic heat. In fact it gets cold enough to create condensation on the windows!

DAMN DAMN DAMN!!! I went out front to see if my AC works..........and forgot ALL about my BBQ going out back!(That's NOT Outback, as in the restaurant) ............So, do I now go off on the ten dollars worth of tri-tip I burned......or the fact that I never even thought of trying out my AC! Any who,,,I've got no belt wrapped 'round my compressor! It has twin belt pully spots(prob for mult apps). The pullies turned, the front piece turned(clutch???). I need 411 on how to refire the AC! One of you guy's is an AC expert(don't remember who). Are there steps I should follow to avoid damage??? PS: there are two non stock wires coming through the firewall. One goes to compressor, one stops by the batterey and looks cut off...........now that I've chowed down on my "jerky" tri-tip, I'll go trace those wires.

You been watching too much "road warrior"!

I'd almost forgotten the 1200 "whistle" problems, I'll have all new rubbers so it shouldn't whistle too bad. And if it does still make wind buffeting noises due to aerodynamic problems, I might fit a noise cancelling circuit like they have in aeroplane headsets.

I have memories of my old 1200 where I'd drive around with the window open a 1/4 of an inch or so to stop the flipper window whistles..

Or maybe the day will come when only outlaws own 1200s ... after all fossil-fuel burning engines are outlawed.

How does the A/C work out? Anyone actually have a working one? If you close all the windows, the wind noise is too much ... I guess one could keep the vent window cracked even though the A/C is on.

If you have one in good nick. Keep a hold on it. The day will come when only old guys/girls own datsun 1200s.. and then they'll need the A/C

I'll be there in November..Is the headunit in good to great condition? Or easy to cleanup to make it look in good condition? I might consider putting it on my Auto Sedan.

Unfortunately I no longer have the space on my CA18 1200 due to larger turbo. Unless I make the turbo a high mount and go external wastegate...which might happen in the future.

I'd happily pay $150-$250.

Cheers.
Chris
