Thanks for the extra details about the cars guys, I have added the info to the site. Unfortunately I didn't manage to get out to the sprints this year, so there will be no footage or pics! I did get to Jamboree though and there were some very nice 1200's there so keep an eye out for the pics sometime in the next week.

Cheers and happy datto'ing!
Charlotte

ah, just noticed the dates on the posts...

Sounds very promising Cameron. I might see if I can make it out there on Saturday. Is Rod Gray any relation to Paul Gray of MtCotton fame?

Hey ! .. the Green 1200 supercharged /turbo Coupe is just about ready for Pittsworth on the weekend .. I have built up a new turbo and found another 40hp at the wheels and increased the power band to 7750 rpm from 6200rpm before .. the car has been weight jacked for the l/h turns and everything looks good .. the Car should run its Fastest time at Pittsworth on the weekend if can get some traction off the start .. there are 2 people driving it . Rod Gray who owns the Car ,hes the one who will have it on 2 wheels when hes on a charge ,and me Who built and owns the Go fast bits in the car . Hope to see you out there Charlotte

Hi Charlotte,
I know a little more about some of those 1200's.

The green super/turbocharged 4AGE one belongs to Cameron_Datto on this forum.

The Blue Datsun 1200 Coupe with the Mitre10 signage is Brendan Pingel, A14 1420cc, standard drivetrain and brakes. Its a Short Circuit category car. Very well presented car too. I know the car was up for sale at the end of last year for only $5000!, and I haven't seen them at Morgan Park this year so don't know if they still have it or if it sold.

The Red, white and blue Datsun 1200 coupe with the flares and front spoiler belongs to Craig Allen. Wild A14, 4spd, locked Vannette diff, Stanza front end. It's a very fast little car.

He's a regular competitor at the QLD Super Sprint Series at Morgan Park, Warwick. Next round is Sept 25&26. Craig and I will be there, as well as another 1200 coupe of another member here, Adam_BDA.

I downloaded the first two video's but they aren't playing properly, the image is stuck on the title screen and the sound keeps playing. I'm using Windows Media Player.

Does anyone here know approx what time the burnout comp is on Saturday arvo this year?

Being under the thumb, I'll probably only get a leave pass for a couple of hours and I didn't want to miss the burnouts.
All the posters etc say 11am to 6pm sat with a burnout comp in the afternoon.

Cheers for any help

No worries and thanks ddgonzal!

The green coupe (yes supercharged and turbo) is a very cool and quick little car. I do have some more photos of it (including engine bay etc) from the Gatton Sprints and have talked to the owner about featuring it on Turbophile, I am just waiting for him to send me some more info on the car.

I think I will put the pics up first anyway though, so I'll let you all know when they are ready.

Cheers
