Yeah it's common. You can improve things by cleaning the light connectors and switches. The drop in revs is caused by current draw or resistance, which increases the cuirrent load on the alternator which increases the physical load on the engine.. If cleaning the connectors doesn't help, then look at the earthing for your "parking" lights (white ones) on the front is my next bet. Then look at tail light connectors.

After all that if it's still no good, you'll need a bigger battery to "buffer" the additional load of your lights etc. You may also need a larger alternator too.

hey guys,

when i turn my lights on my revs drop by about 200rpm at idle. is this normall?
does it happen to any of you?
and how can i fix the problem, if it is one?
