Impressive, but are you sure the Datsun block won't reject the Mazda transplant parts like a heart patient
Chris
PS. I will stay with the early 1200 block to reduce installation & "rego nazi" problems in my KB10. It will go fast enough to scare me.

hey dude, i have bad news for a 79mm block, the walls are too thin on that bore and it's going to run to hot! what you can do is get a standard 76mm block and use mazda glx1500 pistons(78mm) whith kicks it up to 1547cc! if you can get the pistons over there, the part number is RT61014, good luck on your project!

What on earth do the Mazda pistons have to offer?
I will be rebuilding my early 1200 block shortly. It is currently at a shade under 1300cc but it will come in at 1453cc when i have got it running again.
Can you get a 26% increase in capacity from an A15 using stock factory parts?

sorry man ,i have to agree with mazda626 ,rather go with an a15. you can do a lot more than with the a12. i don't know what type of engines you guys get overseas, but an a15 with some mazda pistons work great!
