Hi Mildman,

How's the project going? This is a living example of the GL (Grand Luxury) Twin-Carb vehicle (GX 1200). Did you ever get a pic of the VIN number? Would like to see that.

By the way, all US sedans have the round gauges and disc brakes standard (we only got 2-dr sedans and coupes).

discussion: Under the bonnet might just fit a CA18DE!

I actually bought the car here in Australia, but the VIN plate states made in South Africa.

I tried taking some VIN plate shots tonight with little success (just couldn't read the text)

Here's a couple more shots till I get the VIN plate sorted.

I'm sure that can be arranged! - Would be just as pleased to see the Coupe pull up the driveway.

She's not much to look at at the moment, and the cross member will be coming out in the next week or so - for some CA18 modding (thanks Andrew). So she wont be mobile but drop me a mail and we can line something up.

It's a strange example of a 1200 with a km speedo, coupe dash, fron discs std and who knows what else.

I tried taking some pictures of the VIN plate this afternoon but the weren't legiable. Will be interested if anyone can ID it's manfufacture date.

Recently picked up this little beauty...

A South African GX 4dr sedan.

Weird, and plenty of work required.
