its the one with the round guages. It has three recessed pods which house the speedo in the middle the fuel/temp guages at right and a clock on the left. (Its a right hand drive car).

[I need other things as well, and i think i'll post another thread for that.]

The Tach measure the voltage or the potential difference across the coil.
I dont know if your wiring loom contains the wires needed. 2 black ones in my car.
If all else fails, run two wires from the coil to the tach. It shouldnt need a resistor (but dont quote me on this!).
Oh, and make sure you get the polarity (+/-) right...
Good luck!

Do you have the dash with the round dials, or the rectangular one, like most sedans?

The wiring is a little more easy. Have a look at this : Wiring Diagram Picture

I have a '72 1200 4-dr right-hand-drive. Am looking to install an ORIGINAL tach in the dash in place of the dead clock. Cant find any here in Karachi(Pakistan). Also, I havent seen where and how it gets connected with the engine. Is it a mechanical or electo-magnetic type. Can anybody help me please.
