Price ? It's been ages since I had to buy one, plus I have always bought them in full gasket kits.
The head gasket on its own should be under $30
ACL - any spareparts shop should be able to get these.
Tong Hong Gaskets - ? I have always gotten these from the machinest.
( JTS Performance ) Jeff uses this brand, I don't know if it is expencive or not, I have always just gotten them off him when I have had work done.

Are they expensive?

I have always used
ACL or Tong Hong Gaskets
Both have always been good.
Depending on what comp you want to run ACL sell various thicknesses also, I am not sure about Tong Hong Gaskets though.
For the engine thats going in my wagon I am using the Tong Hong head gasket plus my block is o-ringed.
