Yup i tried that (Unhooking) And it stops my brake light from coming on, doesn't let the choke work, anti deiseling solenoid and enrichment valve. I have a pic but don't know how to post

Just a thought, try unhooking it and see what stops working. That might give you an idea what it does. If your break lights are coming on for no reason, something I have found with a few oof my old 1200is, that the wee stop/plug in the breakpedal falls out/to peices, and the brake light switch sticks into the hole and they come on. I used to fix it by taping a small coin over the hole, but I think that finding a new plug is a better fix.

Well its definately a relay that controls most everything? Now my brake light is coming on for no reason. i just serviced the brakes and they are full of fluid and feel great? The prob is is that the part number is too old and they can't trace it?

Well my voltage seems to be alright and I was told that my altenator had a regulator built in. Well I think I may have it and I think its a auto choke relay? I have a hunch and I am going to go to The parts store now and find out?

Got a photo?

6 prongs? It sounds like a regulator, except it's on the wrong side of the car. Although the 210 is a different beast. The regulator on the regular A12 sits on the Left side of the car (US Drivers side)

The only relays on the other side, might be an A14 regulator (as the alternator is on the other side), or the headlights relay, which doesn't have that many terminals.

With the engine running, put on your "high beams" and see if the noises change. But you'd be better to trace the wires.

If it's a non-nissan alternator (not lucas or bosch), then it may have a strange external regulator.

Post a photo, or draw us an approximate photo in paintshop.

Hey all well the car fixing saga continues as now There is a very annoying buzz coming from a small box behind the battery. Its about an inch and a half by 1 inch with 6 prongs and a screw in the center. I was thinking a voltage regulator or relay but all the part stores I went to don't have any listings and have no clue what it is. It doesn't even show it in my Haynes manual? I really think it's an important part as my electrics have been doin the hokey pokey lately? any help would be appreciated thanks - Mike
