Yeah, it's been a bit frustrating getting this project going. It all started when I was cruising Ebay and saw a 310 motor for $99 plus shipping. Had to have it since I'd been wanting to build a hotter motor. I figured I'd just start collecting parts and build it up when I had everything I needed. After it arrived ($125 for shipping) I noticed the flywheel looks a bit different, and whats this extra timing plate above the front pulley? and hey this valve cover looks a bit odd. I go back to the auction and read all the way to the bottom of the page and see FWD! Well, I figured out that if I just change the flywheel, backing plate, oil pan, water pump, alternator brackets, front pulley, motor mounts, and valve cover , I'd have me a RWD A15 motor. Well all that worked, and youd think I'd learned my lesson about the differences between 310, and B310.... The rest you all already know but thanks to Ebay again, I ended up with that nice brand new 310 pressure plate! I'll get some pics up when I figure out how to post em.

Mike do you have any pics of your car or motor? I'd love to see how you made the twin SU intake. Fabrication is cool!

That's very interesting about accidently using the FWD E15S pressure plate. You are right, they are both 180mm units with the same spline. I race an E16 powered B11 FWD Sentra, and I had a problem with my stock clutch slipping after the twin side drafts were installed. In any case, I looked in the factory shop manuals and noted the clamping pressures of both clutches, and the RWD B310 clutch had more pressure. I installed a regular B310 pressure plate on my E16 and never had it slip again. Incidently, I bought one of those Nismo 550 kg pressure plates back in '96 for $210. I never used it, because the B310 cover had worked for me. I will finally use the Nismo cover when I get the blower put on.

Thanks for sharing. It's good to know that just because they bolt up doesn't mean it's the right one.
For our friends in other countries, the "Datsun 310" is the 1978-1982 fwd N10 (Pulsar) and the "Datsun 210" is the rwd 1979-1982 B310 Sunny.

Ok Its all back together now. I lucked into a heavy duty Pressure plate at my local parts store in Burbank California. Seems I had the wrong pressure plate in to begin with. In case anyone is wondering, the 310 pressure plate will bolt right up to the 210 flywheel....Just wont give enough clamping force to get up an ant hill!!

Thanks Unfamilia for the parts nos. info. I called NISMO this AM. They have one last comp clutch cover in stock...for the giveaway price of $274.00 US!! I decided not to go that route. I went to the parts store to check out what they had, and realized I was running the wrong clutch cover. It was for a Datsun 310. Bolted up just fine, but not nearly tight enough. I will keep my NISMO clutch disc, and use the proper cover. I think that will solve my problems. It's all reassembled but I havent hooked everything up yet. Maybe tommorrow. Then I will report back on results.

OK Went to my local parts supplier. They do not list any HD parts for the A15 motor. I wonder if the clutch disc is thinner because it is a competition one. I will call NISMO and see if they still list a PP assembly. More later.

get the kit as 1200rc said, i got one just waiting to put on new motor, my mechanic says its the toughest one for the a series before custom stuff, or expensive, my mechanic is very " dont waste your $$$ if you dont need it for a brand name" with that output from your a15, id be more worried if the 4 speed gearbox will take the punishment and the stock diff
